Fashion fanatics have a love-hate relationship Black Friday. It's that time of year again when we spend hours trawling the internet for the deals that give us the most bang for our buck. 

The internet can be just as overwhelming as physical stores during this joyous yet chaotic period. Whilst it's an opportunity to grab a serious bargain, a lack of self-control plus not knowing where to begin looking can result in an overwhelming vacuum which might leave one ending up with nothing.

Finally, trends for the current season have been considered - things as fashion experts we know are in style right now, plus timeless pieces you can wear year after year.

The Ballet Flats

Red is a major colour for AW23, and I'm a major fan of red wine-hued colourways right now for a luxurious autumnal feel. These flats look so much more expensive than they are thanks to the deep burgundy tone finished off with gold hardware. Though Selfridges don't do Black Friday, they often do a sitewide 'seasonal sale' around the same time, so keep your eyes peeled...

The Denim Skirt

Fashion editors and influencers alike are proving the denim maxi was not just a summer 2023 fling. As we move into winter, a darker material is favoured to create a warmer look. This stunning maxi from Nobody's Child is perfect to pair with everything, and the brand has already confirmed 20% off all styles from 15th November...

The Metallic Trousers

The metallic trend has not slowed down throughout the whole of 2023, and silver jeans are currently every fashion editor's way to wear it. This Pull & Bear pair are the perfect, ankle-skimming length to let your favourite shoes have their moment. The brand has confirmed a Black Friday sale, but hasn't confirmed items. Considering these are only £35 at full price, get your hands on them even if not discounted.

The Gold Earrings

I own these earrings and they're my current go-to's for any occasion. The sculptural shape wraps the ear and looks ultra decadent, yet they are incredibly lightweight. The Little Red Dress

After seeing this dress, I immediately had outfit ideas in my head. I love the off-the-shoulder neckline and figure-cinching silhouette. Pair with sheer black tights and court heels for the ultimate sultry yet romantic ensemble. 

The Coat

I'm utterly obsessed with this piece. Combining 2022's beloved scarf jacket trend with the return of the pinstripe, this oversized coat from Cos creates the most beautiful silhouette with the scarf draping off the shoulder. It can also be detached for a different look (I'd wear over the head like a hood). Cos have participated in every Black Friday for the last few years which is a positive sign for November 24 - hooray.

The Tweed Blazer

A tweed blazer is a timeless, must-have staple in any A/W wardrobe. If you're in need of one, this season is the perfect excuse to purchase as brown is trending right now and the selection earth-toned, country bumpkin-approved jackets is endless. M&S are key high-street players in the BF sales, and my eye is firmly on this piece.

The Leather Trench

Celebs including Kylie Jenner, Kate Moss and Rita Ora have told us that a black trench is a must-have right now. This stunning satin effect one from MDV takes the coat from cool-girl street to cool-girl chic.

The 90s Heels

I mean it when I say run, don't walk to get these River Island heels. These stunning heels combine the 90s kitten heel, slingback silhouette and silver buckle detailing, all of which have made a triumphant return in 2023. Suffice to say these are at the top of my wishlist.
